Goals for 2015

So 2015 has begun and it's got big shoes to fill as 2014 was a life changing year for Dan and I. We brought our first home, Dan's photography business really took off and with Rocky the cat back home we were finally back to being our little family again. Before I start getting into all my goals for the New Year I wanted to touch on Christmas and say how utterly amazing it was. Let's face it after my crap Christmas last year it didn't really have to do much to beat it but it truly was amazing. We had my Grandparents and Auntie join us which was so lovely as the last Christmas we had together was about 10+ years ago. We did nothing but laugh all day....and the lunch....DELCIOUS!!! I was so spoilt with gifts this year, Dan was far too generous and got me a laptop (squeals with excitement!) which, embarrassingly, made me cry when I opened it. I got lots of lush bath bombs, clothes, vouchers to get things for the house, nail varnishes, beauty products and lots more. I'm so grateful to my family and friends for all the gifts but it's not the gifts that make the day it's the quality time I got to spend with everyone and the memories we made that I will remember.

Now onto my goals:
  1. Get a hair cut - Now this seems an odd one but I haven't had a hair cut in about 2 years...maybe 3 I lose count.
  2. Spend atleast one night a week with Dan with no technology or social media - It can be easy to get caught up in the wonderful world of the internet and social media and lose track of what's important. I want to make sure Dan and I spend at least one evening a week without phones, without laptops or computers, just spending some quality time together.
  3. Lose weight - Every year I always say I'll finally lose weight and it never happens. But this year I WILL lose the weight. I'm aiming for 3 stone which is a lot but I know I can do it.
  4. Get back to the gym - This follows on from the above goal. We really got into going to the gym last year but when we moved we were so busy it slipped ALOT.
  5. Take Dave to new places - Dave loves going out on walks, we take him to Puppy Love and our favourite place is to take him down to West Wittering Beach. This year I want to take him to lots of new places on lots of new walks.
  6. Go out to new places - This year is the year for Dan and I to go out on more trips to see new places. Dan surprised me a year ago with a day trip to Amsterdam and we had an absolute blast. There are so many amazing places for us to visit that are just a short plane ride away!
  7. Aim to do 8 blog posts a month - This is always something I try to set myself a monthly target of and I have hit it but I want to make sure I do a minimum of 8 a month as when I write and publish my posts I love it.
  8. Get my bloglovin followers up to 500 - This one is probably my toughest goal. I'm currently at 220 bloglovin followers and I'd love to get it up to 500 by the end of the year.
  9. Get my Twitter followers up to 2,000 - If you follow me then you will know I am obsessed with Twitter. I've met so many amazing people through Twitter and I really enjoy interacting with followers and other bloggers!
  10. Be Happy - More than anything this year I want to make sure Dan and I are happy. We're now in our lovely new home, our family is back together and we already have lots of exciting things planned for the year ahead.

  1. These are a lot of goals, but they all sound quite manageable. I particularly like number 2, being more present is something I've worked on for a while, and it really does make a difference :-)

  4. I haven't set myself any goals this year (even tho I feel I should) but I think your no social media one night a week is a pretty good one. I get so distracted playing with the computer that sometimes I forget I have a boyfriend sitting next to me.
